What Is An Infection?

Infection is defined as the invasion of another organism in a human body and causing disease. The organism that invades can cause infections; these organisms may include viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites. One can get infected in many different ways, like directly from a person with an infection, or by consuming contaminated food or water, and sometimes through the bite of an insect.
